VIC - 562101
What is VIC - 562101?
VIC - 562101 takes its name from the pincode of Muddenahalli, the birthplace of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. It is a national-level initiative designed to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among engineering and science students, and young entrepreneurs, especially from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India.
The objective is to create, fund and mentor 101 manufacturing-led startups in Phase 1 and 562 manufacturing-led startups in Phase 2.
The Challenge seeks to inspire young India to think beyond academic learning and apply their skills to solve real problems, build useful products, create intellectual property and approach innovation in the Sir M. Visvesvaraya way.
Selected participants will gain access to a network of mentors, investors, industry leaders, governance specialists, domain experts and entrepreneurial advisors. The broader objective is to help young innovators move from ideas to structured problem-solving, from problem-solving to prototypes, and from prototypes to scalable innovations, intellectual property and business ventures.
